We’ll start off this list with one of my personal favorite holiday films: “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” This 1965 TV special follows Charlie Brown as he tries to find the true meaning of Christmas after being disappointed by his friends’ materialistic gifts. He then gets some help along the way from Linus Van Pelt, Lucy van Pelt, and Snoopy.

If you’re looking for a family-friendly movie that’s heartwarming without any holiday clichés, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” is a perfect movie to watch with the entire family.

  • The Polar Express

Like many other people, “The Polar Express” is one of my all-time favorite Christmas movies. This 2004 film follows a young boy on his journey aboard the magical Polar Express to see Santa Claus in person and collect an important life lesson along the way.

“Elf” is yet another one of my all-time favorite Christmas movies. This 2003 comedy follows Buddy, a young orphan who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag and ends up in the North Pole. After realizing that he has no idea what it means to be an elf, his friends help him understand how important family really is at this time of year.
