Crazy, Stupid, Love is a great movie! Steve Carell is the perfect person to play Cal, and Ryan Gosling plays his son. Emma Stone is also a great choice for his daughter Emily!

This Jane Austen classic tells the story of two sisters, Elinor and Marianne Dashwood, who must learn to navigate the world of love and marriage.

Sense and Sensibility received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics, earning an approval rating of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 35 reviews with an average score of  of 83/100. The consensus reads “This adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel benefits from elegant costumes, beautiful scenery and a talented cast led by Hugh Grant.”

The movie follows the Dashwood sisters, who are both looking for love in all the wrong places. Elinor falls hard for Edward Ferrars but cannot marry him because he is of lower class. Meanwhile, her sister Marianne falls in love with Willoughby but he leaves to become a soldier and they never see each other again.

In the end, both sisters find happiness as Elinor ends up marrying Edward while Marianne marries Colonel Brandon! The movie also boasts an impressive cast that includes: Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman and Kate Winslet.

Colin Firth’s performance as Mr. Darcy in this film is the most memorable one for me! The costumes are also great. I love all of the outfits that Elinor wears during her time with Edward at Netherfield Park!

Me Before you

This touching film is about a young woman named Louisa who takes a job as a caretaker for Will, a man who has been paralyzed after an accident. The two of them develop a close relationship, and Louisa helps him to come to terms with his new life.

Me Before You received mixed reviews from critics, earning an approval rating of 57% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 112 reviews with an average score of  of 50/100. The consensus reads “While it’s well-acted and -directed, Me Before You is a predictable story that turns its central relationship into a melodramatic tearjerker.”

Me Before you stars Game Of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke as Louisa and Sam Claflin, who is most known for his role in The Hunger Games.

Brokeback Mountain

This award-winning film is about two cowboys, Ennis and Jack, who fall in love while working on a ranch together. The two of them keep their relationship a secret for fear of being ostracized by society.

The performances by Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal are both stellar, and I love the scenes where they’re working on the ranch together. The landscapes are also beautiful!

500 Days of Summer

This quirky film is about a man named Tom who falls in love with a woman named Summer. But their relationship is not as perfect as it seems, and Tom eventually realizes that he was only in love with the idea of her.

Eat, Pray, Love

Julia Roberts plays the main character, Elizabeth Gilbert. She is a writer struggling with life in America who decides to go on a journey of self-discovery by traveling around Italy (eating), India (meditation) and Indonesia/ Bali (love). The movie follows her struggles through these three parts of her life as she finally finds true happiness.

This is genuinely one of my favorite movies of all time and I keep watching it every year. It’s a great movie to watch at the end of year or when you’re in need of a new start in life!

This movie is based on the popular young adult novel of the same name by John Green. Hazel and Augustus are two teenagers who meet and fall in love at a cancer support group. The story follows their relationship as they both battle cancer, all while trying to find a way to make the most of their short lives.

This is a heartbreaking drama about two young people who fall in love despite being diagnosed with cancer. They must deal with the fact that their time together is limited, and the real-world issues that come with their illness .

The Blue Lagoon

A pair of kids (cousins, actually) gets shipwrecked on a tropical island in this remake 1980’s film. They live together for many years and begin to fall in love, and even get a baby together. The leading roles are played by Brooke Shields (she was only 14 at the time of shooting this movie) and Christopher Atkins.

Practical Magic

This movie is about two sisters, Sally and Gillian Owens, who are witches. After their mother dies, they are taken in by their aunts who teach them how to use their powers. The sisters eventually fall in love but face many challenges along the way.

Notting Hill

Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant star in this romantic comedy set in London. She is an American that works as a movie star who meets him when she accidentally crashes into his bookshop, spilling her latte all over the place. The two fall for each other but face many challenges along the way to true love.

Love Actually

A group of intertwining love stories set in London during the Christmas season. This movie has something for everyone, with romances between young and old, married and single people, and even a lesbian couple. There is sure to be a story in this movie that will make you smile and feel the love.

Just Wright

In this movie, Queen Latifah plays a physical therapist who falls in love with her patient, a basketball player played by Common. They eventually get married , but their relationship is tested when he becomes a professional athlete . It’s a great romantic comedy for anyone who loves sports!
