Friendsgiving and Thanksgiving Make-Up: Cute Looks to Get You Ready for the holidays

It’s time to get ready for the holidays! Thanksgiving is coming up, and if you’re hosting Friendsgiving, you’ll want to make sure your guests are looking their best. There are so many great beauty products out there that will help with this task. In this article, we’ll show you how to create a few cute looks that can be worn throughout the day and evening and mention some of our favorites.

Friendsgiving and Thanksgiving Make-Up

Soft and natural eye

For the first look, we’ll show you how to create a soft and natural eye. This is perfect for daytime events or if you’re feeling under the weather. All you need is some light brown eyeshadow, black eyeliner, and mascara. Start by applying the light brown eyeshadow all over your lid, up to your eyebrow. Then, use a smudger brush to blend the shadow into the crease of your eye. Next, line your upper lash line with black eyeliner and wing it out at the end. Finally, apply mascara to both your top and bottom lashes.

Dramatic warm eye look

For the next look, we’ll create a more dramatic eye using warm tones. Start by applying a dark brown eyeshadow from your lash line to the crease of your eye and blend it outward with a fluffy brush. Then, add a shimmery gold shadow on top of that and line your upper lash line with black eyeliner. Finally, apply mascara to both your top and bottom lashes.

Warm neutral eye shadow

For the third look, we’ll give you the steps to create a warm neutral eye. Start by applying your favorite primer all over your lid up to your eyebrow and then blend some champagne eyeshadow into it with a fluffy brush. Next, apply another layer of color on top that is slightly darker than the first one and line your upper lashline with some black eyeliner. Finally, use mascara to enhance both your top and bottom lashes.

Light brown eye shadow look

Cranberry hues and neutral tones

For the next look, we’ll show you how to use cranberry hues and neutral eyeshadow. Start by applying a light brown eyeshadow all over your lid up to your eyebrow and blend it out with a fluffy brush. Next, apply some warm pink on top of that in an arch shape toward the outside corner of your eye and then blend it into the crease. Use a black eyeliner pencil to line your upper lash line and wing out at the end, and apply some mascara on both of your top and bottom lashes.

Warm neutral smokey eye look

Finally, use dark brown mascara on both of your top and bottom lashes.

Glittery golden eye look

We’ll proceed to the next look, which is creating a glistening golden eye look. This is ideal for a party or other occasion. All you need are some gold eyeshadow and black mascara. Apply your favorite primer all over your lid up to your brow bone, then add champagne eyeshadow with a fluffy brush. Finish your eye look with your favorite mascara.

Moss green eye shadow look

Deep rose hues look

Cranberry eyeliner

You can’t say Thanksgiving and not think of delicious cranberries, right? The same goes for your make-up! Make a stunning brown eye look and finish it with a cranberry eyeliner. All you need is some brown eyeshadow and black eyeliner pencil. Apply your favorite primer all over your lid up to your brow bone, then blend in the brown eyeshadow with a fluffy brush. Finish off this look using dark brown eyeliner on both of your top and bottom lash lines as well as black mascara.

Glitter eyeliner

A glitter eyeliner with a little bit of shimmer can be the ideal addition to any holiday party look. All you need is some black liner and shimmery brown eyeshadow (or even better: sparkly gold shadow). Apply your go-to primer all over your eye lid up to your brow bone then line the upper lashline with a black eyeliner pencil. Finish this stunning look with your favorite glitter eyeliner.

Don’t use glitter eyeliners if you’re wearing contact lenses, by the way. The glitter might get into your eye and scratch. Not a good look, and bad for your eyes!

Warm glittery Thanksgiving make-up look

For a really warm, glittery Thanksgiving make-up look, all you need is some beige eyeshadow, dark brown shadow, and gold or copper glitter. Apply your favorite primer all over your lid up to your brow bone then blend in the beige eyeshadow with a fluffy brush. Next, apply the dark brown shadow in the crease of your eyelid using a fluffy brush and blend it out so that it has no harsh lines. If you want to create a fierce cut crease, use a flat brush instead of a fluffy one. Finish off this look by applying the gold or copper glitter all over your lid with an applicator wand.

Black Thanksgiving eye make-up

For another simple but stunning eye make-up look, you’ll need some black eyeshadow (matte would be the best option here), black eyeliner, and black mascara. Apply your favorite primer all over your lid up to your brow bone then blend in the black eyeshadow with a fluffy brush. Next, line your lash line with a dark brown eyeliner pencil and apply mascara on your top lashes. You’re done!

Turkey Make-up

For a really fun and festive look, why not draw a turkey onto your eyelids? I know, this look is not for beginners, but it will certainly make your eyes the topic of conversation around the Thanksgiving table! All you need is a brown eyeliner pencil and a variety of different colored eyeshadows. Line your upper lashline with the brown eyeliner pencil then use three or four colors to create the turkey make-up, starting from the outside corner of your eye inwards towards the middle.

Purple smokey eyes

If you want a more glam look for your Thanksgiving celebrations, go for purple smokey eyes. This eye make-up will look great with a glamorous dress and some killer heels! All you need is some black eyeliner, dark purple eyeshadow, light purple eyeshadow and mascara. First you apply your favorite primer all over your lid. Start with the lightest colors (the light purple) and apply all over your moving eye lid. Done? Great, let’s take the next step in this make-up look: adding more of the dark purple and blend, blend, blend!

You’d better start with a tiny bit on your fluffy brush and keep building. A smokey eye can take a while to make and you really don’t want to rush things. Finish off your look with black mascara and you’re done!

Graphic liner

If you want to go all out with your eye make-up and really stand out from the crowd, try a graphic liner. This look is perfect for a cocktail party or any other event during the holiday season. You’ll need some black liquid eyeliner or pick your favorite color if you’re feeling extra!

Winged eyeliner and a neutral eyeshadow

This is a really simple and classic look that will never go out of style. You’ll need some black liquid eyeliner, brown eyeshadow, mascara and blush. Apply your favorite primer all over your lid up to your brow bone then line the upper lashline with a black eyeliner pencil. Extend the liner slightly past the outer corner of your eye towards your temple.

How cute is that? I love this look so much!

Adele inspired cat eye

Adele is back and she brought her iconic eye make-up, too. But how do you create her iconic looks?

All you need is some black liquid eyeliner, a thin brush, and lots of practice! Start by drawing a very thin line on your upper lash line and make sure that it’s as close to the roots of your lashes as possible. Extend the liner towards the outer corner of your eye and make a small flick at the end. Keep in mind that the thinner your line, the cuter this look will be. Finish off with some black mascara and you’re good to go!

And remember, the higher the flick, the closer to God!

Bronze smokey eyes

This is another smokey eye make-up look, but this time you’ll be using bronze eyeshadows. This look is perfect for a more glam event or party and it’s really easy to create!

You’ll need some matte bronzer, shimmery bronzer, dark brown eyeshadow, light brown eyeshadow, black eyeliner, and mascara. Apply your favorite primer all over your lid up to your brow bone then blend in the black eyeshadow with a fluffy brush. Next, line your lash line with a dark brown eyeliner pencil and apply mascara on your top lashes. Take a blending brush and mix together the matte bronzer and shimmery bronzer . Apply this all over your lid and up to the crease of your eye. Finally, apply the light brown eyeshadow in the inner corner of your eye and blend out. Et voila! You’re ready to party!

Nude eyes with a pop of color cut crease

This is another really simple look that will never go out of style. You’ll need some nude eyeshadow, a pop of color (I chose blue), mascara and blush. Apply your favorite primer all over your lid up to your brow bone then apply the nude eyeshadow with a blending brush. Take a small amount of blue eyeshadow on a fluffy brush and apply it in your crease. Blend it a little bit, but nog too much.

Pop of color in your inner corner

If you want to add a pop of color to your look without going too crazy, try adding some bright eyeshadow in the inner corner of your eye. This is a really simple and fast way to make your eyes look brighter and more awake! You’ll need some pink, orange, yellow or blue eyeshadow for this look (whichever you like the mosts or suits your Thanksgiving outfit).

Just apply it in the inner corner of your eye and blend it out with a brush. If you want, you can also apply some nude colored eyeliner in your waterline to make your eyes look even bigger!

Taupe eye look

We’ll finish this list of eye make-up looks with a taupe eye look. This is perfect for those who want to wear something subtle and natural. All you need are some taupe eyeshadow, dark grey eyeliner pencil, white eyeliner pencil, and mascara. Apply your favorite eye primer all over your lid up to your brow bone. Next, use a taupe eyeshadow all over your lid, and line your upper lash line with a dark grey eyeliner pencil. In the inner corner of your eye, use a white eyeliner pencil to highlight and then blend it out. Finally, apply some mascara.

Thanksgiving lip make-up looks

Classic red lip

If you’re not feeling the nude lips, try a classic red one. It’s perfect for any holiday party and it will never go out of style!

You’ll need some nice matte lipstick in your favorite color (red is always good) and an eyeliner if you want to line your eyes or make them look bigger. Apply your favorite primer all over your lid up to your brow bone then line your lips with a red lip liner. Apply the lipstick and blot with a tissue. Finally, apply some transparent lip gloss on top for some extra shine!

Nude lips with a pop of color

For this look, you’ll need some nude lipstick and a really bright or matte eyeshadow. You can add eyeliner if you want to make your eyes look bigger. Apply your favorite primer all over your lid up to your brow bone then apply the nude lip color (or even go bare). Take an angled

Nude lips

How to create perfect nude lips? It’s really simple and all you need is a nice nude lip shade, some matte bronzer (or blush), your favorite primer and concealer. Apply your primer then use the matte bronzer or blush to contour your lips . Line them with a nude pencil if desired, apply the lipstick and blot it with a tissue for ten seconds.

Dark brown lips

For a darker look, try dark brown lips. This is perfect for those who want to go against the traditional red lip trend.

You’ll need some nice matte lipstick in your favorite color (dark brown), and a matching lip pencil. Apply the lip liner and feather it slightly. Next, you apply your lipstick, blot with a tissue for ten seconds then apply some transparent gloss on top if you want a more shiny lip look for Thanksgiving.

Pink lip stain

One of the biggest make-up trends for 2022? The pink lip stain. This is perfect for those who want a really natural lip look and it’s super easy to apply.

You’ll need some light pink lip stain, your favorite primer and concealer. Apply the primer then use the light pink lip stain to color in your lips. Feather it outwards for a more natural look then blot with a tissue. If you want a really crisp line, apply some concealer around your lips. That’s it! You’re done!

Nineties lipstick

For a really retro look, try nineties lipstick. This is perfect for those who want to add a pop of color to their Thanksgiving outfit!

You’ll need some brown or dark red lipstick (whatever you like the most), and an lip pencil in dark red or brown. Line your lips (don’t try to overline too much with this look) and fill in your lips with your lipstick of choice. Don’t blend the lipliner into the lipstick, you’ll want the color distinction!

Ombre lips

One of the newer trends in lip make-up is ombre lips. This is perfect for those who want to add a bit of color and dimension to their look.

You’ll need two shades of lipstick, your favorite primer and concealer. Apply the primer then use the light pink lip stain to color in your lips. Feather it outwards for a more natural look then blot with a tissue. If you want a really crisp line, apply some concealer around your lips. Take the darker lipstick shade and apply it in the middle of your bottom lip. Use a brush to blend it outwards for an ombre effect. Blot with a tissue and you’re done!

Concealer lips

This is perfect for those who want a really simple and fast lip look. Yup, this Nillies trend is totally coming back: enter the concealer lips. Not with real concealer tho, that will dry your lips out like crazy. Use a very pale shade of lipstick instead, like Charlotte Tilbury’s Kim K West or MAC’s Fleshpot.

Lipliner and gloss

In need of a fool-proof lip look for Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving? Try lipliner and gloss!

You’ll need your favorite lip liner, some transparent lipgloss (any color will do). Apply the liner then fill in your lips with it. Feather outwards slightly for a more natural look then blot with a tissue to remove excess moisture before applying the gloss on top of the lipliner.
