I have been watching the series ‘Euphoria’ on HBO in the evenings for a few weeks now. An exciting series where you are often on the edge of your seat, very aesthetic and full of drama and real life. I highly recommend the series, but only for 16 +.
One of the most striking things (for me as a beauty blogger, anyway), is their amazing makeup looks! Really, one eye makeup look is even more striking than the next.
As a makeup lover, it’s wonderful to see how many colorful makeup looks are used. So it’s ideal to write an article about colorful eye makeup looks and how to recreate them.
Because: spoiler… it’s not always that easy and is a bit more difficult than working with neutral makeup or natural makeup looks.
By the way, the glitter used so often in the series is the one from Lemonhead LA!

Colorful eye makeup looks
If you’re not used to wearing colorful makeup looks for yourself yet, this look is sure to please: a fairly natural makeup look, but with a striking purple eyeliner. I love it and this is a look I would definitely wear myself too.
Step plan for this eye look:
First of all, apply a good eyeshadow primer on your eyelid
Then, apply a metallic or shiny taupe colored eyeshadow over your entire moving eyelid
Apply some tape right on your outer-V and press firmly on your skin
Apply some dark brown eyeshadow in your outer-V and make sure
Now remove the tape and make sure you have a nice tight lin
Did you spill some or did you get fallout? Remove it carefully with makeup remover and apply a little concealer to get your line back in shape
Use a liner brush and apply a metallic purple color to your lower lashline
Make a nice wing on the inner corner of your eye
Tightline your eye (above and below) with black eye pencil (how to tightline)
Apply fake lashes to your outer lashes (you’ll need to cut up your fake lashes for this, or can use individual fake lashes)
Apply black mascara
Finish your look with a baby pink lip gloss and a coral pink/red blush and bronzer
Euphoria’s makeup looks were (and are, also in the new season) created by makeup artist Doniella Davy.
Rue makeup looks
As such, Rue (played by Zendaya) doesn’t wear a lot of makeup, and when she does, it’s very grungy in style. All the makeup looks in the series have meaning. For example, the glitter triangles under her eyes are a symbol for tears etc,…. Super interesting and definitely pay attention when you watch the series!
